Home Health Aides in Daytona
Concierge Care was founded by a nurse who felt that senior care should go beyond meeting physical requirements. She believed compassion, empathy, and attention to mental as well as emotional needs were critical components of caring for the entire person.
Who cares for you is important as well. The home health aides we refer are certified, experienced and provide care with love. We recommend meeting them before starting service, because having a real connection will also enhance your care.
We build relationships with our clients. Large national agencies sometimes lose this focus, for us it is of paramount importance. Offices are local as this provides better service and care coordinators are always available. Over time you will get to know our staff as individuals, not just a voice on the phone. Give us a call.

Home Care Services
The caregivers we refer provide clients customized care including these services.
Home Care is confusing. There are a variety of services, payment methods, and company types.
What is a Nurse Registry?
A nurse registry refers caregivers and does not offer care directly. They will conduct an initial meeting in your home to get to know your needs, preferences and living situation. Then introduce you to caregivers experienced in providing similar care.
Nurse Registries in Florida are strictly regulated. All referred caregivers must be licensed by the Department of Health and have at least 40 hours of training from a state approved school. They also have specialty training in Alzheimer’s and dementia care.
The most distinguishing feature of a registry is that a client is in total control of their care. The client determines both the type of service and the times they need care. Additionally, a client can interview and select the caregiver they are most comfortable with. This ability to choose and stick with carefully selected care providers greatly enhances your comfort and level of care.
What is a Home Care Agency?
Home care agencies directly provide care and the caregivers are employees. An agency will develop a care plan for you and then assign caregivers based on availability, so you may not always have the same provider.
While agency caregivers are pre-screened and their credentials are verified approval from the Department of Health or graduation from an accredited school is optional. Training is often done by the agency, a supervisor, or on the job.
Many agencies have a national focus, while registries are smaller and more responsive. Agencies do provide requested care, but clients have less input regarding services, times and selection of caregiver. Registries work closely with you to identify needs and help you find the best caregiver for your situation. Hopefully, one who can provide care for a long time and become a friend.
What is Private Pay Care?
Private pay focuses on assisting seniors with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s). This type of care can be short or long-term and allows seniors to remain at home and age in place, where they can enjoy life. Some common ADLs include:
Fall Prevention
Incontinence Care
Personal Grooming
Emotional Support
Shopping and Errands
Overnight Monitoring
Caregivers keep seniors safe and meet physical needs. Care ranges from a few hours per week to several hours a day. Providers also maintain communication with families regarding the senior’s care.
With private pay there are no qualifications or restrictions on when you can receive care. Long-term care insurance and some veteran benefits can help offset or cover the cost. The main benefit is that you are in charge of your own care.
What is Home Health Care?
Home Health Care is short-term medical care following a chronic illness diagnoses, injury, surgery or hospital discharge. These services are termed "skilled nursing care", as they are delivered by certified nurses and therapists. Services include:
Check Vital Signs
Wound Care
Injections and IVs
Recovery Therapies
Medication Assistance
Symptom Recognition
A doctor must prescribe the home care and will only do this when the senior is home bound and unable to leave unassisted, making it necessary for the provider to perform the service in your home.
Seniors are covered through Medicare at no cost to them. Just be aware this benefit applies to qualifications set by your doctor. The intent is to provide the care you need to recover from a specific issue and services are strictly limited.
Concierge Care is a caregiver referral service (not an agency). We connect clients with pre-background-screened, pre-credential-verified providers who operate independently and are not employees. Our nurse registry model supports consumer-directed care, where each person determines all aspects of their home care services.
